After School Program
The School Year Program is the primary service for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County. To accommodate families with the modifications that school districts are making to school hours and education delivery strategies, our Boys and Girls Club will be offering full-day service and provide socially distanced academic space for children to access their virtual classrooms during school hours and non-school hour enrichment opportunities for children ages 5 to 18 in kindergarten to high school. Providing our programs in a safe and engaging environment is a top priority. We work in partnership with each community, school, and family to design the program that meets their specific needs. We draw upon the most effective academic enrichment, physical fitness, nutritional and life skill programs to challenge children and make learning fun. All programs are staffed with trained Youth Development Professionals who will provide academic support and both in-person and virtual high yield learning activities during non-school hours.
