National Nestle Fitness Competition
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County implemented the spring Nestle National Fitness Competition on April 28, 2018 as part of our Healthy Lifestyles initiative. The National Fitness Competition was held at two Boys & Girls Club sites (Suburu Club and the E.L. Jack and Monica Armstrong Youth Center). The competition focused on getting kids active while bolstering their self-esteem. With more than 3 out of 10 young people considered obese or overweight, early education and active programming for youth is critical for a healthier tomorrow.
This partnership demonstrates Nestlé’s increasing commitment to create a healthier generation and inspire kids to achieve tangible short-term fitness goals. About 200 Club members participated in the Fall National Fitness Competition. Volunteers were on hand from Nestle and CSUB Women's Basketball Team to assist.
