Professional development is a strategy used by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County to ensure that staff members continue to strengthen their abilities. The most effective professional development engages staff to focus on the needs of Club Members. During training sessions, staff members learn how to problem solve together in order to ensure all Club Members achieve success in all aspects of the program.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County hosts an array of professional development classes ranging from new employee training, lesson planning, and learning to become a leader. These sessions provide staff with important and effective resources to help them provide nurturing and educational curriculums for Club Members.
